Assassin’s Creed

Assassin’s Creed is undoubtedly one of the most famous gaming chains in history, created by Patrice Désilets, who became famous after introducing the game despite leaving Leopisoft.

Although Patrick is fully aware of Assassin's Creed's credit, he seems to regret one thing in the series. He said a few days ago that he apologized to players for inventing the towers feature in that game, which later became a common feature in Ubisoft and other developers.

This feature requires the player to climb a tower or high-rise building to open the map in front of him by removing the fog that engulfed it, this mechanism was followed in Far Cray games as well as games for non-Ubisoft developers such as Dying Light, Infamous: Second Son and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Patrick said that with this mechanism play becomes forced to spend his time climbing in order to remove the fog from the map and know where to go, which spread many games and became annoying to the player because of the boring repetition, stressing that this is his fault.
