Capcom hints for Street Fighter IV to be released in 2021
Similar to the faltering start of the Street Fighter 5 game, however, Capcom managed to revive the game by insisting on supporting its players and offering it several different versions.
It is already evident that Capcom has not publicly stated that Part VI is currently under development but may have alluded to this in one way or another today, announcing that the champion winning the Capcom Cup 2020 will not automatically qualify for the 2021 Championship.
It is somewhat strange that this is because whoever wins the tournament gets the right to directly qualify for the tournament of the following year, unless Capcom issued a new part of the series, then the winner of the tournament last year does not qualify.
And it has already happened in its fifth part, as the Capcom Cup 2015 champion did not qualify for the 2016 championship automatically due to the release of the fifth part of the Street Fighter series that year. So some were quick to conclude that the company's words alluded to the release of Street Fighter VI in 2021 on the PlayStation 5 and the computer.
