the BioShock game is already under development

After all the rumors, 2K Games finally confirmed that a new BioShock game was under development

Last April, we announced the existence of a "secret studio" that is currently developing a new part of the hugely popular BioShock series. Also, two months ago, we notified you of several leaked information regarding this project, among which was that the initial disclosure of the game will take place from December 2019 to March 2020. It seems that the time for advertising has come!

BioShock

2K Games today announced the creation of a new studio called “Cloud Chamber”, which is the “latest studio entirely owned by the company.”

According to this American company statement, the studio includes a selection of creative "storytellers", who "have enough talent to provide unique experiences" to the players.

And the most important aspect of that statement is the official confirmation that the Cloud Chamber studio has already started work on the next part of the beloved BioShock series, and that the work will continue over the following years as well.

It is clear that Mrs. Kelley Gilmore will head the studio management, and she is known for her long selling in the game industry, especially within the corridors of 2K, where she contributed to the launch of the games of Civilization and XCOM series in particular.

It may be important to note that Mrs. Gilmore refused in statements attributed to her to determine whether the new game would be a complement to the events of the previous parts or whether it was a complete re-depiction of events (Reboot) and only said that it is a new part, provided that details are revealed on subsequent occasions.

A question may arise in your mind as to whether the creative director Ken Levine will participate in this work on this project? The answer clearly came from the studio president, that, unfortunately, Ken Levine will not be involved in any way with the development of this game, and that he is currently working with his team at the Ghost Story Games studio on their own projects.

Despite this matter, you should not be concerned about the new part of BioShock, as Ms. Gilmore confirmed that the staff on the expected game includes big names that contributed to the development of the previous parts, namely Hoagy de la Plante, Scott Sinclair and Jonathan Pelling and they all worked - as We said - over the past parts and has much experience in this aspect.

It has been indicated that this new BioShock game has not received a launch date yet.
